We prepare so much for the birth of our babies, but what we’re not prepared for is how much support and care we need as women and new mothers afterwards.
As a new mother, you are as vulnerable as your newborn. You need rest, space to breathe, time to heal physically and support to start processing your new role as mother.
In this workshop, we’ll learn about the importance of the first forty days of postpartum rest and recovery and help you make a plan to integrate it into your postpartum journey.
The First 40 Days approach to postpartum and how you can adopt it (including retreat, warmth, support, rest and ritual)
Breastfeeding and what to expect
Postpartum perineum care
Protecting and healing the pelvic floor
Safe return to exercise
Herbs and foods that help support healing
The importance of having people hold emotional space for you to share your birth story and feelings of early motherhood
