Being a doula means showing up for someone who needs you. It is meeting them where they are at. It is zero judgement. It is holding space. It is support, encouragement, information, and presence.
We are holding this workshop because we receive emails almost daily from our community asking the same question “How do I become a doula?”.
This workshop is for anyone who’s thinking about becoming a birth, postpartum or full spectrum doula and would like to find out more about the pathways and options available. We’ll cover training options, how to find clients, what to charge, what on-call life is actually like, and more.
If you are called to this work, this is the place to start.

She returned to Melbourne in 2016 and set up Gather as a way to connect more Melbourne women with doulas to provide them with the love, support, guidance, presence and continuity of care that is so often lacking during this time.
